About the Artist – William Ver Bryck (1823 – 1899)

He studied at the National Academy of Design and gained recognition for his finely executed portraiture—many of his works, including commissions from prominent families in Lexington, Kentucky, and other regions, were highly praised. Ver Bryck’s pieces continue to appear in auctions today, often fetching between $1,000–$1,500 for quality originals.
