An impressive antique Italian carved alabaster tazza, likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This striking sculptural piece features a large bowl adorned with elaborately carved garlands of fruit and foliage, gracefully draped in high relief. The pedestal is richly decorated with acanthus leaves and terminates in a beautifully detailed base with classic lion paw feet.
The natural veining of the alabaster adds depth and movement to the piece, enhancing its sculptural presence. At nearly 24" high, it makes a stunning statement on a console, pedestal stand, or center table in a grand foyer or formal living room.

Condition: Displays typical minor chips and natural fissures inherent to antique alabaster, which only add to its authentic aged character. There is a leaf that has broken off just under the bowl. There is note of a repair under the curved leaves beneath the bowl.Â
